Hi! Nice to meet you.
My name is Billy Lopz
All stories start somewhere, and my story is no different from any other. It all started when I was 8 years old watching my favorite cartoons and imagining new stories with the characters. This curiosity led me to explore storytelling and my first contact with video was with a Sony video camera, filming my family and making short films with my younger brother.
After high school, I started studying graphic design because it was a career that I considered to be my passion. While I was in design school I took a class called Video Art and my interest in storytelling reawakened in me.
This led me to study traditional animation in Los Angeles, California and while studying, I also worked in an audiovisual company as a graphic designer. Thanks to being in the entertainment industry, my career transformed from graphic designer to video editor and then to cameraman. Currently, I have more than 9 years working as a filmmaker and video editor for different companies and projects.

I have also directed several projects, such as the music video Arrugadito de Mulata Blues and the promotional video César Correa Art for fine arts artist César Correa.

I am most interested in shooting interviews, music videos, documentary filmmaking, and feature films; where I can explore and tell stories that combine beautiful and powerful images.
Over the past few years, I have worked with amazing people and clients that have allowed me to live my dream.
Thank you to everyone who has trusted me.
